Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join the Starlight Ventures investment team in Buenos Aires. You will become an effective early-stage venture investor by identifying, evaluating, and executing investments in a diverse range of companies across industries.

Your responsibilities will include sourcing new opportunities, supporting due diligence and research efforts for potential investments, collaborating with portfolio company executives to help drive investor returns, and assisting with firm management activities including reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• New Investments

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities,
• Perform market & industry research for investment thesis development,
• Craft detailed and insightful investment memos, and
• Support the overall execution of deals.

• Portfolio Management

• Support and help improve our portfolio company reporting & oversight processes, including supporting your colleagues serving on Boards, and
• Work directly with portfolio companies’ management teams on specific initiatives.

• Firm Operations

• Support Starlight’s reporting & investor relations processes, and
• Contribute to firm-building activities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline with an excellent track record.

• A strong interest in science & the world of scientific/hardware startups.

• Prior strategy consulting, investment banking, or PE/VE experience highly preferred.

• Significant experience with Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint slide-making required.
