Analyst

Practica Capital, the leading Baltic VC firm, is seeking a sharp and driven Analyst to join our team. Based in Vilnius and Tallinn but active across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, we’ve been backing bold founders for over 12 years—and now we’re looking for someone to grow with us.

The Role

As an Analyst, you’ll be part of our investment team. You will start by crunching numbers, preparing presentations, and - guided by professionals - grow into uncovering startups and supporting founders on their journey. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on innovation, analytics, and strategic thinking. The position is based in Vilnius, with the possibility of relocating to Tallinn in the longer term.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Market Research: Conduct detailed research on industries, identify emerging trends, and evaluate market opportunities to provide actionable insights for the team.
• Deal Sourcing: Assist the team in identifying potential investment opportunities through startup research, attending ecosystem events, and building relationships with accelerators and other key stakeholders.
• Due Diligence: Assist the team in the due diligence process by completing assigned tasks, such as researching business models, evaluating competitors, and gathering relevant data.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare clear investment memos and progress updates for both the internal team and external stakeholders.
• Portfolio Management: Support senior team members with data collection, performance tracking, and report preparation to help monitor and drive the growth of portfolio companies.
• Operational Support: Handle fund administration tasks such as updating CRM tools, maintaining investment databases, and ensuring smooth processes across the investment lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree or final year student in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, and preferably experience with financial modelling.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A genuine passion for startups, innovation, and technology.

Bonus Points For

• Native fluency in either Estonian, Latvian, or Lithuanian.
• Data analysis skills.
• Experience in investment banking, consulting, engineering, founding a business, and working in a startup.

Salary Range

The expected annual gross salary for this role ranges from €30,000 to €50,000. The actual starting salary may vary depending on several factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, and scope.
