Analyst

Opportunity 

Volta Circle is seeking an entrepreneurial and self-directed early-career investment professional to join as an Analyst. The analyst will report directly to our Managing Partner, Catia Cesari, and will lead all internal operations whilst also supporting investment activities and portfolio management. This is a broad ranging role that will expose you to all the mechanisms of operating a VC firm. As a lean and globally distributed team, the ability to communicate and collaborate across functions and geographies, share knowledge, and contribute to Volta Circle’s broader goals are essential. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Support with startup due diligence and running market research; 
• Lead portfolio reporting including tracking company performance and preparing summaries; 
• Prepare high quality, internal presentations and related materials for Investment Committee meetings;
• Support legal processes including KYC processes and audit reviews;
• Own the firm’s marketing efforts, including social media presence, website, portfolio company updates, and other public profiles; 
• Support with internal operations such as scheduling, meeting note-taking, Affinity (CRM) management, and website updates;
• Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership and thesis development. 

Experience and Capabilities 

• 2–3 years work experience in investment banking, consulting, VC platform/operations, operations at a high-growth start-up, or software engineering
• Strong interest in the circular economy, sustainability, and impact investing; 
• Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills; 
• High attention to detail, flexible, collaborative, and willing to be involved in all aspects of the business; 
• Strong academic achievement with an undergraduate degree from a top institution; 
• Fluency in English required. 
• Financial modeling and analysis skills are a plus;
• Previous experience in a dynamic start-up, or innovation lab-like environment or equivalent is beneficial. Overseas experience is also a plus.

Location

This will be a hybrid role, predominantly remote with the expectation to attend a London office space 2 times a week. Office Location: FORA co-working space, various locations in West & Central London, UK

Compensation 

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
