We are expanding and seeking highly motivated Associates / Senior Associates who have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. Who We Are Looking For:
Minimum 3-4 years of full-time professional experience in a VC/PE fund investing in tech companies or in M&A / Investment Banking / Management Consulting with a focus on technology
Graduate from a top international university, preferably with an MA in Finance, Business Management, Accounting or a related field
Deep intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic
Demonstrated passion for disruptive technology and entrepreneurship
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; capable of navigating financial models and large data sets to distill the key insights and tell a compelling story
Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work across multiple projects concurrently
Personal integrity and the ability to work independently while being an effective team player
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Supporting senior investment professionals in all aspects of the investment process (origination, due diligence, execution, etc.) and management of portfolio companies through the investment life cycle (participating in board meetings, assisting in strategy / value creation plan formation, exit process, etc.)
Generating proprietary investment deal flow through thematic sector coverage and networking with entrepreneurs, investors and industry practitioners
Leading market and financial due diligence and preparing internal investment recommendations, memoranda and approvals
Overseeing and monitoring the performance of investments and the development of portfolio companies, and including periodic reporting to general partners, limited partners, and external parties
Providing day-to-day management and development of junior team members
Attending and participating in industry events to build Cogito’s brand and awareness in the VC / growth equity community
Identifying emerging trends and potential thematic areas for investments
Designing and executing self-directed projects that contribute to our growth and/or portfolio companies
