The appetite for computing grows exponentially while the technology to deliver it lags. We focus on finding new kinds of classical computing to fill the gap, as Moore's Law concludes. Playground's Next-Gen Compute portfolio includes PsiQuantum, NextSilicon, Ayar Labs, Mosaic, d-Matrix, and more.

Responsibilities

• Your primary responsibilities will be to source and evaluate new investments.
• Invest in and contribute to building portfolio companies shaping the future of sustainability and innovation.
• As part of your role, you will be exposed to various facets of venture capital, including developing investment theses, conducting financial analysis, providing support to portfolio companies, participating in investment decision-making, and contributing to fundraising efforts.
• As a member of the investment team, you will gain broad exposure to and the ability to learn from GPs, other investment professionals, and Venture and Operating partners with deep domain expertise.

Qualifications

• You hold an advanced degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, math, physics, and/or machine learning.
• You have at least one year of investing experience, preferably at a Venture firm.
• You have demonstrated industry experience and established connections in your field of expertise.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication.

The annual base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, and skills. We offer a competitive performance bonus plan based on individual performance and company success.
