Role Overview:
We are looking for an Investment Associate to join our team in a dynamic, sector-agnostic role that spans all aspects of the investing process. As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in developing a sourcing pipeline, building and implementing sourcing infrastructure and establishing strong networks to drive value for the firm.
You will be part of a deliberately small, collaborative team that works closely together on every deal, providing a unique opportunity for direct mentorship from our Partners. In this role, you will meet a diverse range of founders, evaluating their business and vision to ensure alignment with the firm's investment thesis. Post-investment, you will actively support our portfolio companies by assisting with business development, strategic initiatives and future fundraising efforts. Role Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Evaluating Opportunities: Identify and assess potential investment opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends and networking with founders and other investors.
- Due Diligence and Analysis: Perform detailed financial modeling, market analysis and due diligence to assess the viability of potential investments.
- Investment Memos and Presentations: Prepare thorough investment memos and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing key findings and investment rationale.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, provide ongoing support and assist in developing growth strategies.
- Networking and Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, industry experts and other key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
About You:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience sourcing, diligence and investing at a venture capital firm
- You are a natural people connector and networker
- You have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and pride in owning your work
- You are proficient with modern business tools and platforms
- You work collaboratively and have excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- You have advanced organization and planning skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities
- You have a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, drive results and know when to ask for help
- You are hyper curious to learn about and understand the world around you
- You have demonstrated success in a high pressure, dynamic, fast-paced environment
