āltitude is a European early-stage SME Tech first cheque writer / early-stage venture capital firm, operating out of Berlin, London, and Zurich. We invest EUR 100K to EUR 1M cheques in multi-revenue business models for SMEs across Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage European venture capital firm at an inflection point. After the successful first closing of our fund, it is time to grow our team to fully capitalise on the opportunity of investing in the emerging segment of SME tech.
Tasks
The Visiting Analyst role is a 3-6 months paid internship that will allow applicants to kickstart their career in the venture capital industry. An ideal candidate should be able to fill this role full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
The opportunity will be focused on tasks within the following key areas:
- Research & Analysis: Support the founding General Partners & Chief of Staff with market & trend research, outbound deal sourcing, analysis of investment opportunities, and portfolio support.
- Project & Operations Management: Engage in various project management tasks, contributing to the development and maintenance of our internal management information systems (with a particular focus on our deal flow operations & tech stack).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in strengthening the firm's value proposition to founders, other VCs, and key stakeholders.
- Platform & Community: Drive and engage in our community, platform, and brand-building initiatives across Europe (virtually and/or in person).
Requirements
Required Profile:
- Open-minded personality, intellectual curiosity, and a strong interest in digital technology and its impact.
- All majors are welcome (STEM degree is a plus).
- Demonstrated interest in venture capital and startups (first relevant work experience is a strong plus).
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite (other design, data, or automation tools are a plus).
- Excellent communication skills in English (German proficiency is a plus).
- Willingness to work hard and go the extra mile.
- Diligence and ability to multitask/work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Team player & self-starter who is able to collaborate with our remote team across Europe (prior remote work experience is a plus).
