ABOUT METAPROP

MetaProp is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on the real estate technology (“PropTech”) industry. Founded in 2015, MetaProp’s investment team has invested in 150+ technology companies across the real estate value chain. The firm manages multiple funds for both financial and strategic real estate investors that represent a pilot-and-test-ready sandbox of 20+ billion square feet across every real estate asset type and global market. The firm’s investment activities are complemented by pioneering community leadership including the PropTech Place innovation hub, MetaProp Accelerator at Columbia University programs, global events like NYC Real Estate Tech Week, and publications such as the Global PropTech Confidence Index and PropTech 101.

THE INTERNSHIP

MetaProp is seeking a full-time, paid intern ($15-$20/hr) with a passion for brand marketing, research/thought leadership, public relations, events, social media, and portfolio management. This position is intended to work out of our NYC HQ a minimum of three days per week. We're looking for an undergraduate student who can commit to at least thirty-five (35) hours per week. The internship will begin in May 2025 and run through August 2025, with the possibility of continuing through the Fall.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

• Day-to-day content development and influence over MetaProp’s social media channels, websites, and email marketing
• Help produce and participate in major real estate and technology events including NYC Real Estate Week and the MetaProp Accelerator Demo Day
• Industry and dedicated client research, including contributions to MetaProp and PwC’s Global PropTech Confidence Index, blog posts, newsletters, and more
• CRM database and pipeline management
• Support the general office management of MetaProp’s HQ “PropTech Place” in Midtown Manhattan
• Support development of internal firm documents in the form of pitch decks, program overviews, one-pagers, and more

Portfolio Management/Accelerator Program

• Track and report on existing portfolio company progress and news
• Prepare playbook and curriculum for immersive 22-week Accelerator program
• Accelerator forum and guest speaker planning, management, and coordination
• Special event planning and coordination, including our NYC Investor Lunch and Accelerator Demo Day
• Maintaining and updating our internal portfolio database and other startup service tools
• Analyze company health metrics, including cash on hand, runway, and revenue growth

General

• Upholding the firm’s core values of diversity, integrity, affordability/sustainability, and entrepreneurship
• Other activities as directed by your supervisors
