The Role

We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an ESG intern to join a dynamic company at the forefront of science and innovation in Oxford. This role would suit an analytical, personable, and creative individual who is a recent graduate looking to start their career in sustainability. You will work with and learn from the Responsible Investment & ESG Manager, and work alongside the broader Investor Relations team.

Kickstart your career and get to grips with the foundational elements of sustainability in venture capital. The role will be varied with plenty of opportunity to develop. You will have exposure to OSE portfolio companies and leadership teams ranging across sectors and stages, and understand how sustainability topics vary across these companies. Moreover, given the cross-functional nature of the position, you will collaborate with the teams across OSE – from the investment teams, to Legal, Property, Human Resources and Finance.

Duties will include supporting on OSE’s annual sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting; helping build out sustainability guidance for the team and portfolio companies, and research, including sustainability due diligence where required.

The Requirements

You will hold a degree at minimum and possess excellent analytical, research, and communication skills. A strong interest in sustainability, evidenced through education, work experience or extra-curricular activities is essential. You will be a motivated, enthusiastic learner who takes initiative and is not afraid to ask questions.

We would like to offer maximum flexibility to our ESG Intern, and thus are open to tailoring the duration, core hours and start date of the internship. Please specify your ideal start date, duration and weekly hours in your application.
