We know this mission starts at the company formation step and that’s where our work with startups and VC’s comes in. Helping those at the very earliest stage of the funnel is key. The role here is a mixture of partnership and program management and is a great role for someone looking to get closer to the world of startups and Venture Capital.
The role
We’re looking for someone very special to join our team as a Program Lead for our Startup and VC propositions. In a nutshell, we’re on the lookout for someone who can deliver value to our partners by aligning our initiatives, programs, and events with their ambitions to help the next generation of founders succeed. You’ll be responsible for our #Build program, our work driving awareness of AI, and a number of our partner accounts spanning VCs & Banks. You'll be required to think strategically about how we drive further value to our relationships.
You’ll be reporting to our founders but will have a lot of autonomy to make your mark, whilst being supported by a great team and budget support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Meeting, Influencing, and building relationships with key stakeholders across our partner businesses to discuss and advise on ways to help underrepresented founders
- Coordinate cross-project activities working with the Marketing team to promote our initiatives, events, and program applications
- Running multiple editions of our startup programming, Business roundtables, and events for our interconnected stakeholder community
- Carry out program evaluations and analysis and present your findings to senior management
- Leading the direction of our work with Venture capital firms, and underrepresented entrepreneurs, working cross-functionally with leadership to drive strategic vision into action
- Providing a critical level of support and where possible referrals to support our founder ecosystem
- Working with the Founding team to unlock commercial opportunities within the market
- Acting as a focal point of contact and council for our VC/Startup partner ecosystem
Requirements
You’ll be a great addition to the Team if you:
- Are passionate about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Innovation
- Have a broad working knowledge of the Global Venture Capital and startup ecosystem
- Have a specific network within the UK entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Have an intrinsic curiosity for Education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Are thorough, having high levels of organizational and management skills.
- Are able to demonstrate success in building partnership relationships with return commercial value to an organization
- Have experience designing and delivering programs
- Are an extroverted personality who thrives when meeting new people and networking
- Have a critical eye when analyzing pitches and supporting business growth
- Can manage alignment across multiple stakeholders and prioritize a broad and complex scope of work from ideation to delivery to performance analysis
- Experience in operating in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment on both an operational as well as strategic level. Inclusive of being able to deliver on projects end to end on time
