Opportunity:
As we expand, we are exploring to have a Partner join our founding team to lead investor relations and fundraising initiatives. This role offers the chance to shape the trajectory of Fund II, leveraging your network and expertise to drive capital formation and support the next wave of innovative startups in Southeast Asia.
Role Overview:
As a Partner at First Move, you will spearhead the fundraising strategy and execution for Fund II. This role suits experienced professionals in private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) who wish to leverage their networks in a flexible, strategic capacity. You can maintain your existing commitments while playing a pivotal role in early-stage investing in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Leadership: Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to secure commitments from Limited Partners (LPs), including family offices, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Cultivate LP Relationships: Build and strengthen relationships with LPs, offering transparent updates and insights into fund progress.
- Expand Network Reach: Leverage your connections to engage potential LPs, identifying and pursuing new fundraising opportunities.
- Oversee Fund Compliance: Ensure fundraising activities adhere to legal and regulatory standards, coordinating with legal and administrative teams.
- Articulate Value Proposition: Develop compelling narratives and presentations that clearly communicate First Move VC’s unique investment opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Seasoned Fundraiser: Proven track record in fundraising within PE, VC, or related sectors, with expertise in capital formation and LP management.
- Robust LP Network: Extensive connections with LPs interested in early-stage ventures, particularly in Southeast Asia.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A passion for startups and a deep understanding of the early-stage landscape and its challenges.
- Outstanding Communicator: Exceptional ability to engage and influence through compelling verbal and written communication.
