As a Programme Associate, you act as a training consultant in the company. You will be responsible for planning and executing the accelerator programmes at 1337 Ventures which help participants launch and scale their startups. Your main goal as the programme associate is to make sure the participants are satisfied with their experience and reach their goals.
You help to facilitate learning for various audiences, applying your expertise to improve the standard training materials of the organisation or clients, with a primary focus on the improvement of skills, training, delivery of Learning Curriculum, and achievement of business goals.
As a Programme Associate, you’ll also be mentoring and providing advice to entrepreneurs including developing business plans, determining business needs, identifying business strengths and weaknesses, finding solutions to various business issues, making recommendations and answering their inquiries.
Your responsibilities are as follows:
- Collaborate with the Founding Partner and programme team to design and refine programme details.
- Manage projects to ensure best practices are followed, content and curriculum are executed effectively, and participants enjoy an exceptional experience.
- Plan, coordinate resources, and oversee project teams to ensure contracts are delivered as agreed.
- Facilitate training sessions and provide mentorship during office hours.
- Oversee programme logistics and scheduling, including calendar management for mentors, speakers, and events.
- Monitor and report on quality, operational execution, and customer success metrics, ensuring timely project reporting.
- Manage and maintain the Company’s Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure content quality and usability.
- Develop proposals that align with the interests of both the company and its clients.
- Assist in organizing events, including venue sourcing, catering, and invitations.
- Build and nurture relationships with mentors, investors, corporate partners, and clients.
- Collaborate with the 1337 team to support other programmes, drive strategic initiatives, and foster valuable relationships within the 1337 ecosystem & local startup community.
Requirements
The ideal candidate’s experience & skills needed:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is a plus.
- Proven experience managing programmes or events.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results.
- Experience in startup entrepreneurship, product, or business development.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and the startup ecosystem.
- Ability to engage with executive leaders and deliver engaging training sessions (physical and virtual).
- Effective in fast-paced environments, with strong time management and prioritization skills.

- Experience with startup accelerator programmes.
- 2-4 years of experience in a startup, accelerator programme, or a similar role in a larger organization.
