As an Senior Analyst / Associate (Operations and Strategic Development) you will be involved in two key aspects of portfolio management and value creation.

Operations

• Support the investment team in the due diligence, execution and closing process of financial transactions on a timely basis.

• Routine portfolio operations including accurate reporting of transactions within internal systems, analysing investment deal specific and portfolio performance data, and other corporate admin related work.

• Work together with the investment team to track portfolio financial and operational performance metrics, and lay the foundations of our portfolio company’s finance functions, including reviewing of financial statements, financial modelling, budgeting, and working with external consultants and service providers.

• Support all regular and ad-hoc portfolio reporting initiatives to Insignia’s Limited Partners on a timely basis.

• Initiate and roll out new tools and processes to improve internal operational workflows.

• Assisting with administrative and project-based responsibilities on ad-hoc basis.

Strategic Development

• Assist portfolio companies to develop their strategic objectives and connecting them to the right network of stakeholders including and not limited to strategic investors, acquirers, partners, debt providers and acquisition targets.

• Partner with the Insignia Investment team to support portfolio companies in their funding journey.

• Guide portfolio companies on the capital raising process from sourcing of investors from the private capital markets, preparation of fundraising collaterals, due diligence and providing strategic advisory services for financial transactions.

• Establishing contact, rapport and credibility with prospective investors to influence key decision makers to start a relationship with Insignia and its portfolio companies.

• Identify new investor pools, develop new strategies and explore opportunities with different categories of investors.

• Foster deeper relationships with investors and Limited Partners by organizing portfolio roadshows and other related events.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business (ideally finance, accounting or related disciplines), and a minimum of 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally with exposure to private equity / venture capital, consulting, investment banking, and / or startup companies.

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, as well as relevant accounting expertise.

• Great communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong team player with the ability to also work independently and with limited supervision.

• Exceptional organizational skills and excel at attention to detail, multitasking and working against tight

deadlines.

• Business, strategy, finance or corporate development experience at a leading venture-backed startup in Southeast Asia is a plus.

• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia/Bahasa Melayu & Vietnamese is a plus.
